Full Job Description

This role is ideal for someone looking to begin or develop their career in Information Governance. You will have a variety of work tasks including managing internal and external IG queries, IG incidents, Freedom of Information and Data Subject Access requests, carrying out administrative tasks to support delivery of the information governance work plan, providing administrative support for the Data Security and Protection Toolkit and arranging and supporting internal meetings.
Training is available for Freedom of Information requests, Data Subject Access requests, management of information governance incidents and other specific information governance related tasks if you are new to Information Governance.
In line with our agile working policy there is also an opportunity for partial working from home to be considered providing business needs are met.
We are a dynamic and diverse, close knit and growing team of dedicated professionals, looking for the right person to complement and enhance our Information Governance support to the Trust., Ideally the successful candidate will have worked in a similar administration or governance role previously, have excellent organisational skills and able to work independently and take responsibility for their own workload. They will have great attention to detail and a knowledge and interest in Data Protection legislation.
On a day to day basis you will be responsible for administration support within Information Governance., On a day to day basis you will be responsible for administration support with a focus on several key areas including:
Provision of first line of contact to the IG team, providing basic advice and signposting to IG colleagues from more complex matters
Processing of IG incidents and communicating with staff throughout the Trust to ensure appropriate resolution.
Receipt and processing of Freedom of Information requests
Receipt and processing of Data Subject Access Requests
Administration and project support to the IG Team.
Uploading of documents to Intranet site/content management
Direct project support to improvement and transformation projects as required.
Organisation of meetings, production of Agendas and Minutes and distribution of papers
Operational document and records management activities within standard operating procedures.
All advice and support will be provided in accordance with Information Governance policies, operating procedures and best practice across the Trust.
