Full Job Description

As Medical Secretary, you will act as the first point of contact for the service, being required to exercise judgement and resolve problems using initiative, and to work unsupervised on a day-to-day basis to meet deadlines. You'll manage a range of duties, organise workloads, including extensive diary management, and respond to enquiries both internal and external to the organisation. The role can also include support to Consultants undertaking additional duties, eg Medical Director, Clinical Tutor, etc.

This role includes a requirement to supervise and co-ordinate Band 2 and 3 administrative staff functions and to support the Senior Admin Lead in providing a comprehensive and efficient service.

The Aspen Centre is a standalone Eating Disorders unit providing in-patient and out-patient care. We are looking for anMedical Secretary with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our administration team within Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust.

Who we're Seeking:Applicants with secretarial/ PA experience to join our previous admin team in providing a comprehensive secretarial service to Consultant Psychiatrists and clinical teams, supporting the growing demand for provision of care within Eating Disorders Services.

We're looking for someone who is friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills, who can build working relationships and promote change and efficiency. As well as being a team player, you'll need to work autonomously andpromote a flexible approach and strong work ethic in order to prioritise, multi-task, and delegate workloads.

Skills and Experience: Your skills will include the ability to prioritise, co-ordinate and delegate your workload and that of other team members. Experience of supervising staff is desirable, as is carrying out appraisals, sickness meetings, etc. Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office systems is essential whilst training will be provided for in-house systems such asCarenotes, Tracking, etc.

The role is based on site, however, we can support some home working on a flexible rota basis in line with service needs, for which equipment will be provided and a home wi-fi network will be required with a confidential space to work in.
