Full Job Description

We are looking for a full time Band 4 Operational Support Administrators to join our Operations Team at Good Hope Hospital., To provide a comprehensive and full ranging administration/co-ordination service, working in conjunction with colleagues, service users and stakeholders to provide an efficient service.

  • To work closely with the Operations Manager to support patient flow across Wards and Assessment Units in order to support the Accident & Emergency department (A&E).
  • To work closely with the Operations Manager to support elective capacity to deliver on the KPIs for RTT and Cancer pathways.
  • Receiving and dealing with telephone enquiries as appropriate and being sympathetic and sensitive to the requirements of staff and service users when communicating.
  • Input and look up patient data on Trust IT systems in accordance with Trust policy.
  • To provide a point of contact for patients/relatives/carers, GPs and other health care professionals who can be emotional and highly distressed, ensuring that any language or other communication barriers are overcome.
  • Create databases to collect and monitor information to assist with the collection and provision of statistical data as required. This should include the ability to extract, manipulate, analyse complex data sets and communicate them in an easy to understand manner.
  • Attend team / departmental meetings on a regular basis. Contribute to building effective teamwork in exchanging views, ideas and communicating effectively.
  • Arrange meetings as necessary and be able to take minutes if and when required.
