Full Job Description

The role of the Senior Pathway Validator is to support and deputise for the Operational Performance/RTT Pathways/ Compliance Manager, providing support in the day-to-day management of the RTT Validation/ Operational Performance & Compliance Team, working as a key member of the overall Operational Performance team. The post holder will provide support in the day-to-day supervision of a team of Co-ordinators who are responsible for tracking patient pathways against operational standards to ensure delivery of the national targets. This will involve supporting with complex validation pathway queries, providing training/mentorship and contributing to audit programmes. The Senior Pathway Validator will develop strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure the patient tracker list (PTL) is accurate and fit for purpose to ensure the effective monitoring, performance management and governance of these national targets. They will also need to support the Team Leaders in the identification data quality concerns and preliminary analysis of the data trends related to the delivery of the national recovery targets.Main duties of the job

  • To validate patient treatment pathways using hospital systems such as Oceano, Concerto, PICS, ERHA and Clinical Portal to identify treatment stages that represent "clock starts" and "clock stops" according to the 18-week guidance and Trust Access Policy.
  • Support the Operational Performance Team Leaders in day-to-day management of co-ordinators
  • Act as a first line of support for queries and training required across the team of Co-ordinators
  • Participate in the induction and training of all new members of staff.
  • Responsible for providing training in own activities to new / less experienced staff.
  • Undertake and contribute to regular audits to assess competency within the team.
