Full Job Description

We can offer a wide range of experiences as part of our high performing Stroke Therapy Team, seeing patients from admission into the hyper acute stroke unit, through the acute and rehabilitation phases all in one setting, to successful discharge from hospital. There are a variety of learning and development opportunities within the Band 4 role, with multidisciplinary working at the forefront of our daily practice. Our Band 4 assistant practitioners are a valued and vital part of our team, and we welcome fresh ideas and new ways of working to enhance the service we provide to patients and their families/carers., + To assist qualified therapists in the delivery of the therapy service to a specified caseload of inpatients
+ To work without direct supervision, undertaking tasks that fall within the remit of the non-complex patient. This can include frontline initial assessments
+ To routinely act as first contact with the non-complex patient
+ To carry own caseload of non-complex patients, devising and implementing treatment programmes with reference to a qualified therapist
+ Assisting qualified occupational therapy and physiotherapy staff with the assessment of complex cases and ongoing management, The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust recognises the requirement to promote health and reduce ill-health.
