Are you a skilled HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist (BMS) looking for an exciting opportunity to support Point of Care Testing across our Trust?, We're seeking a dedicated professional to join our dynamic POCT team and help deliver an efficient, cost-effective, and timely service to device users for a three-month fixed term contract. The working hours are Monday to Friday, between 09:00 am and 17:30 pm, but occasional early, late or weekend shifts as needed can be required.,

  • Troubleshooting POCT devices.
  • Monitoring the performance of POCT devices and end users using internal and external quality assessment (EQA) and audits. Training end users on POCT devices.
  • Implementation of new POCT devices.
  • Production and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and policies.
  • Ensuring the department meets the requirements of relevant standards such as MHRA and ISO.
  • Supervision of POCT MLA staff (Band 3).
