Full Job Description

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurses in the Endoscopy department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The QEH Endoscopy department is a 5-procedure room department offering both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (including ERCP, Colonoscopy Gastroscopy, and Bronchoscopy and EBUS. We are also looking to commence Bowel Screening) as well as supporting our inpatient service. The department has a progressive, motivated and highly experienced team who are keen to support new staff in their clinical development skills.The candidates can be experienced Endoscopy nurses who are highly motivated and enjoy developing new skills in Endoscopy or if not experienced are willing and have a desire to be trained to become an Endoscopy nurse.The department currently covers a 4-day service, full time hours are usually completed over 4 days. The department also runs on-call service where nursing staff provide an out of hours on-call service covering emergency procedures in, 1. Improving representation at senior levels of staff with disabilities, from black, Asian, and ethnic minorities background, identify as LGBTQ+ and women, through improved recruitment and leadership development
2. Widening access (anchor institution) and employability
3. Improving the experience of staff with disability
4. Improving the EDI literacy and confidence of trust staff through training and development
5. Making equalities mainstream
