Band 5 Experienced Dialysis Nurse

We are looking to recruit a B5 Dialysis Nurse who takes patient centred care to the heart of their role. If you are experienced , dedicated and proactive you will enjoy the post at our Aintree Satellite Dialysis Unit , based at Aintree Hospital. We are a LUFT dialysis centre and have 9 units across Merseyside and strive to provide excellent care and standards to our dialysis population. The unit currently has 12 stations with 3 shifts of patients per day .The unit is open Mon - Sat 0700-0000hrs with shifts that include a variation of 0700-15.30/1500-0000 and 0700-18.30hrs.

It is a Nurse Led Unit with 2 Consultant Nephrologists , and a dietician as a part of our MDT. We follow the Named Nurse Concept and all Dialysis staff have a cohort of patients to monitor and provide an Holistic approach to care.

Main duties of the job

Management of patients undergoing Haemodialysis Modalities - all aspects of care pre , during and post dialysis.

Monthly patients reviews and Risk assessments

Wellbeing reviews / Psychological support

Patient education

Monitoring and audit

Participation in MDT's
