Protecting and supporting the health of individual patients and clients.- The assessment of care during the peri-operative period.- The development, implementation, and evaluation of programs of care. including discharge planning from the theatre suite for each patient. To provide skilled assistance to the Anaesthetists and Surgeons in the Moorfields operating theatres. Have the skills, knowledge, and expertise to be able to take appropriate action when dealing with emergencies. To assist in promoting and implementing the MEH Nursing Strategy in the department. To be a visible presence for Moorfields Staff and patients To liaise with the Patient booking team to ensure that the lists are booked efficiently and the resource is used effectively. To promote and maintain effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team between Moorfields Eye Hospital and the satellite sites. To facilitate and support student nurses and others to develop their competence and skills which will enable them to become competent practitioners. To participate in the training and development of Health Care Assistants and complete assessors training as required.
