Full Job Description
Rotations are six months long, giving you time to develop and embed new skills using our comprehensive Preceptorship programme as part of your ongoing development.
We offer excellent supervision, training and skill development opportunities within each specialism provided by supportive clinicians and opportunities to gain skills such as student supervision, audits and service development projects.

We are large enough to offer a number of rotational experiences but small enough to be able to respond quickly in delivering services in response to patient needs., As a Band 5 Rotational Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for your own caseload, working within a fast paced and energetic environment. You will need good organisational and time management skills to prioritise and manage your caseload efficiently and effectively.
You will be responsible for ensuring the use of effective assessment skills to identify, formulate, implement and evaluate individualised treatment plans based on analytical and clinical reasoning skills. Assessments primarily take place in hospital or in patients' own homes and will include a holistic approach considering cognitive, functional and social aspects of each individual's life.
You will need to have effective communication skills to ensure a successful multidisciplinary approach to patient care. You will also need to be able to demonstrate management of barriers to communication such as loss of hearing, expressive and receptive dysphasia, pain and fear, be able to motivate patients to maximise their potential whether it being around rehabilitation or planning safe and effective discharges.
You will also have non-clinical duties such as attending and being an active member of team meetings and peer support groups, partake in service development ideas, training and supervision of students and therapy assistant practitioners.

Situated on the coast with beautiful beaches and the Broads National Park on the doorstep we are within commuting distance of Norwich City. We are the largest local employer in the area.
Service improvement: The Integrated Therapy Department is positive and forward thinking, always striving to improve services particularly in current challenging times. Our links with the Research Department is growing with joint projects being worked on. Our therapists represent the Trust at CSP, RCOT, BOA and BGS conferences.
Personal and professional development is key. We are developing our research and innovation strategy in line with the national AHP Strategy. We will support you in achieving your career goals through our well-structured supervision and appraisal system, actively encouraging utilisation of training courses (clinical, non-clinical and leadership skills) with use of CPD funding. We have a Band 5 and international peer support group to help with integration and development.
Development of others: You will be supported to provide education to your team and to our wider workforce. We support development of our future workforce through our close links with the University of East Anglia, Suffolk College and City College Norwich providing teaching and placements to apprentices, under and postgraduates.
