Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Endoscopy Unit at the . We are recruiting staff to increase our service to cover 7 days improving patient access. We are a JAG accredited Endoscopy Unit with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. You will be supported by our staff to become competent in assisting with a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopy procedures. If you are enthusiastic, motivated, a strong commitment to high quality patient focused care, and keen to learn then this is a perfect opportunity to extend your skills and join our friendly team., QEHB Endoscopy department provides a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures over 6 procedure rooms including fluoroscopy (x-ray).

including:

Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopies, ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Bronchoscopies, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), stenting, HALO, Spyglass, Enteroscopy, and insertion of PEGs and NJs. We also host the national Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP).

The role will include all aspects of Endoscopy, Inpatients, Outpatients and x-ray, inculding participation in an emergency on-call bleed rota.

Are you a dynamic, pro-active and enthusiastic band 5 Staff Nurse looking for a challenge? This might be the job for you!, Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given within the department. We have an extensive competency based training pack and full support will be given to ensure you are able to work in both our inpatient and outpatient areas, caring for all types of patients having both routine and emergency procedures. There is also acess available to specialist courses to help develop your knowledge.

To succeed, you'll need to be committed to delivering high quality, patient focused care with pride and respect, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
