Full Job Description

The Woodland Neonatal Unit at Watford Hospital is a busy local neonatal unit (LNU) within the East of England Neonatal network. The unit admits baby requiring intensive care, high dependency and special care. In addition, we manage a 6 bedded Transitional Care Unit in postnatal ward. We are committed to the provision of high-quality evidence based practice to meet the needs of parents and babies incorporating family centred care. We are looking for full time registered nurse/Midwife, who want to work with our well established friendly neonatal team, to deliver the highest standards of neonatal care., The post holder will :

  • Be expected to demonstrate good clinical skills and teach other staff and learners.
  • Be expected to be a good role model and to treat all staff, visitors and service users with tact and courtesy.
  • Work as part of a team to provide a safe, effective, efficient care environment for
  • patients, relatives and carers.
  • Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care
  • Be able to demonstrate procedures and supervise unqualified staff, and work without direct supervision once the key learning outcomes of the foundation programme are complete.
