How would you like to provide high-quality care for our young people and future generations, supported by an exceptional team of health professionals all working towards one goal - "to improve the health and wellbeing of the people we serve"?, We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our School Nursing service during an exciting time of the development of The Lancaster Model. If you are committed to improving outcomes for children, young people and their families, we would like to hear from you. You will work under the lead of the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN), working within the public health framework (0-19), to meet the prioritised holistic needs of family's children & young people. For this post you will need to be proactive and enthusiastic as you will be key to assessing the health needs of children and young people and implementing and evaluating programmes of intervention for a defined school health caseload. The Trust strongly believes in putting people first and putting our colleagues at the centre of everything we do. This would include an induction package as soon as you start, regular managerial, clinical and safeguarding supervision and an annual appraisal to identify development opportunities. So come and join a great place to work!!Main duties of the job Assessing the health needs of school age children and young people. Implementing and evaluating programmes of intervention for a defined school age caseload. Work within the 0-19 framework ensuring a seamless service to the family. To work collaboratively and in partnership with other agencies and partners, ensuring a seamless delivery of services. To hold child protection responsibilities within a caseload with support/supervision from the named SCPHN in line with service delivery and local policies. To support, mentor and supervise appropriate members of the team.
