Band 5 Speech & Language Therapist

The post will involve working within our well-established CYPIT service, providing support for children attending mainstream schools in Reading and Wokingham., In this role as a Band 5 or 6 Childrens Speech and Language Therapist, you will take responsibility of the planning and management of your own caseload and interventions, with the support of our clinical and operational leads as required.

You will work autonomously to carry out clinical assessments within your scope of practice, including identifying relevant therapy needs and delivering an individualised management plan.

You will be working collaboratively with education staff to meet the needs of children attending Reading/Wokingham mainstream schools. This role may also involve the delivery of training to education staff or parents.

Ability to write SMART goals and provide advice and recommendations based on the needs of the child and their family/carers.

Knowledge of supporting children with special educational needs and additional needs essential, including children who are verbal and non-verbal.
