Full Job Description

  • To work as a member of the nursing team to support and care for patients with a variety of rehabilitation needs to enable them to be safely discharged to their discharge destination.
  • To provide and deliver a package of high quality evidence based nursing care to patients with complex needs through assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating individualised programmes of care and to provide advice, guidance and information to health and social care professional, as part of a multidisciplinary team.

    An Exciting opportunity has arisen for two full time nurses to join our team at Herts and Essex Community Hospital. We are an 32 bedded rehab rehabilitation unit who provide care for patients. We pride ourselves in being adaptable to change in order to meet patients needs.     You will be joining a team of nurses who work as part of the multidisciplinary team that includes, Doctors, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Assistants and Social Workers. We offer a supportive and friendly working environment and there are opportunities to develop your clinical leadership skills whilst under the guidance of a well-established team and with the support of the Training and Development Department. You will be required to work 11.5 hour shifts on a rotating shift pattern of days and nights. Please be aware that if you are applying from overseas, we expect overseas candidates to have full registration with the NMC (including and OSCE pass), if you do not have full NMC registration, unfortunately your application will not be successful. Whilst we can sponsor fully registered candidates who live outside of the UK, we are unable to pay relocation costs. In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary (pro rata where applicable) We look forward to hearing from you!
