If you want additional information, or to visit the ward please contact the ward manager, Sarah McKeever., The role of Band 6 Charge Nurse will involve clinically leading and managing a team of staff nurses and health care assistants. You will support the Ward Manager with some operational duties and help develop and maintain clinical standards.

You will be an experienced registered nurse with a keen interest in working with later life service users. You will be innovative, dynamic and enthusiastic with a passion in delivering the highest quality of care and continually working to improve the standards of care offered.

You will be able to demonstrate a passion for clinical excellence, have a high level of emotional resilience, and be able to support and motivate staff with developing and enhancing services.

You will be offered a unique opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge within an acute admission ward for people with varied mental health diagnosis.

You will be supported to gain expertise in older adult mental health Care through training and development. Cove ward offers a unique learning opportunity through its regular team days and band 6 development days, involving bespoke targeted learning. This covers topics in relation to physical health care, mental health care, older adult and inpatient nursing skills.

You will be offered monthly supervision,with a specific focus on your health and wellbeing, in addition to any developmental requests.
