The Job Summary is as follows: - To
+ Work with other healthcare professionals in the provision of a pharmaceutical service to a client group which includes some with very specific needs and difficulties and others who may exhibit severe challenging behaviour
+ To provide clinical pharmacy input by being an active member of one or more multidisciplinary teams.
+ To participate in audit and clinical governance systems.
+ To provide medicine related information to doctors, nurses and other health care professionals, as well as patients and their carers.
+ To implement and monitor medicines management systems promoting economical, safe and rational use of drugs.
+ to act as the responsible pharmacist in Summerhill Pharmacy when required to do so.
+ To participate in research and development in conjunction with pharmacy, nursing and medical colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
+ To participate in and encourage the recognition and reporting of adverse drug reactions
+ To participate in the managed introduction of new medicines to the trust
+ To be conversant with the departmental and trust computer systems.
+ To adhere to all national, professional, and local policies and procedures.
+ To ensure that personal training needs are met.

Please note, if applicable for your role you will be required to cover the cost of your DBS certificate. This will be deducted from your salary over 3 months. You will also be required to sign up to the DBS Update Service before commencement with the Trust.
All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust's induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e-learning format. You will be required to complete training modules online (approx. 9-14 hours depending on post) by the end of your first week with us.

An excellent opportunity is now available for two highly motivated and dedicated pharmacists to join our Pharmacy team based in the main Trust Pharmacy. You will participate in clinical pharmacy services, looking after two to three wards and rotate through a number of our service areas to gain experience in mental health pharmacy as well as pending some of your time in our dispensaries.

The Trust Pharmacy service comprises 50 staff including 14 pharmacists and 17 pharmacy technicians. The service provides for 120 teams, including inpatients, forensic inpatients, forensic CAMHS, home treatment, assertive outreach, community mental health teams and early intervention. Within the service, there is an inpatient dispensary and an outpatient dispensary, with its own compliance aid filling robot.
