Full Job Description

The Children's Rapid Response Service have an exciting opportunity as it continues to expand the team. The Children's Rapid Response Service works collaboratively with the Community Children's Nursing & Palliative Care Team: It is the team's primary aim to prevent and reduce hospital attendances, admissions and length of stay for children already known to the Community Children's Nursing & Palliative Team.

The emphasis of this service is to improve the quality of life for children and families with complex healthcare needs, offering them greater choice around their chosen place of care.

We are looking for experienced children's nurses that have extensive experience in assessment with children with complex health care needs.

You must have the ability to prioritise your workload using advanced assessment skills with the ability to provide a symptom management plan of care to children/young people during times of acute deterioration or illness.

The role requires undertaking clinical assessments of a sick child or young person and emergency enteral feeding management to prevent hospital admissions.
