- Gym Access, The Mental Health Practitioner will work within amulti-disciplinary team (MDT) setting to provide a specialised / occupationalmental health service for all service and entitled personnel within theDepartment of Community Mental Health (DCMH) and network as required., Providing a timely and high-quality mental health service toall patients referred to the Department of Community Mental Health (DCMH) forassessment and treatment of mental health presentations.
- Act as a clinical resource and liaise with MedicalOfficers / General Practitioners (MO / GP) and offer advice to the chain of commandon mental health matters, the administrative management of personnel withmental health difficulties and mental health promotion.
- Deliver evidence based therapeutic interventions for commonmental disorders, individually, in groups and via face to face and digitalplatforms while undertaking a programme of training for this role.
- Directly provide psychological assessments and interventionsto individuals and groups.
- Be responsible for ensuring clinical outcome data isroutinely entered and appropriately collated, as well as engage in serviceevaluation, outcome measurement, audit and research projects to benefit serviceusers. The post holder will have experience of working in adultcommunity mental healthcare. As well as hold robust clinical assessment skillsand an understanding of an occupational role and needs of individualspresenting to the service., Registered Mental Health Nurse or graduate level professional with background in mental health; substantial post-qualification training and experience in at least 2 evidence based psychological therapies and accredited or eligible for accreditation from a recognised body (BABCP, BACP, UKCP) OR Registered Mental Health Nurse with a demonstrable experience working at Band 5 or above. Experience of working in a Community Mental Health setting. Demonstrable experience of using NICE recommended psychological interventions OR Must possess a Postgraduate / Graduate certificate in evidence based psychological treatments with demonstrable experience in a community mental health role.
