Full Job Description
We are looking for a midwife to join our Community team, providing care to pregnant people within Eastbourne and the surrounding areas including Polegate, Hailsham and Seaford. The community team is based out of our stand alone midwifery unit and you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings. As a community team we provide on calls to cover the standalone midwifery unit and homebirths across the East Sussex countryside, as well as at our consultant led unit, based on the Hastings site.We are a tight knit team working closely together to provide women and their families with high quality, evidence based midwifery care. You will need to be a highly motivated team player committed to improving and developing the service. The role will include home visits and therefore own transport is also essential.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work confidently and autonomously within the team is essential, you will gain experience in all aspects of midwifery care. There is an on call provision, so flexibility is essential.
