Band 6 MRI Radiographer

We are one of the largest MRI departments in the country and are looking for an experienced, friendly and enthusiastic MRI or cross sectional trained radiographer to join our clinical team. You will work 37.5 hours (3 x 12.5hr shifts) per week, rotating across the Trust's 11 MRI scanners based at Guy's, Guy's Cancer Centre, St. Thomas's and the Evelina London Children's Hospital.
Our departments offer a full range of MRI services, including dynamic contrast studies, oncology (including radiotherapy planning scans), paediatric (with an XMRI suite) and breast imaging. We remain close to the cutting edge developing new techniques and protocols.
The department actively supports and encourages radiographers in their band 6 career development.
The department is open 7 days per week between 7.30 am and 8pm., To perform a range of diagnostic MR procedures as required within the department, managing patient priority as appropriate.
To contribute effectively to the delivery of an effective and responsive Radiology service.
To supervise, assist and train a range of student and assistant staff in both the delivery of the service and their individual development needs.
To assist in and manage workflow and ensure all data inputs are recorded for both patient record integrity and statistical evaluation purposes.
To promote the highest professional and technical standards in the department using personal example.
Demonstrate partnership in professional development issues maintaining a high level of technical and theoretical skills through personal CPD.
To participate in the Governance of the Department in areas including Risk Management, Health and Safety, Research and Audit activities.
