Full Job Description

  • To operate within MRI service to help facilitate a 7-day scanning service within MRI on both the two static scanners on main site and the mobile CDC scanner located on main site and Walton Hospital.
  • To train in and become proficient in all aspects of MRI scanning within CRH.
  • Assist in organising and control workflow in the department in order to provide an efficient service.
  • To provide a consistent high standard of radiography and to assist in supervising other staff in achieving the same in order to aid the clinicians in achieving an accurate diagnosis.
  • To always provide a consistent and high standard of care and attention to patients thus maintaining the quality standards of the Trust.
  • To liaise and communicate with other members of the multi-disciplinary team both within and outside the Directorate.
  • To assist in the organisation of and to participate in the Directorate's Quality Assurance Programme.
  • Extended duties
  • Undertake training and perform the administration of I.V. contrast agents in accordance with the Directorate and Trust Policies and Procedures commensurate with the grade of this post.
  • Undertake training and perform Radiographer reporting on patients having undergone orbital X-Ray to screen for possible Metallic Intra-Ocular Foreign bodies, (IOFB) commensurate with the grade of this post.
