University Hospital's Dorset has a unique opportunity for a musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist who is passionate about wellbeing to join our award-winning occupational health and wellbeing team. If you are an MSK physiotherapist who is passionate about supporting our NHS colleagues, then this may the perfect role for you. It is based in the Occupational Health Departments on Poole and Bournemouth acute hospital sites If you have any questions, would like more information, or to talk through if your experience meets what we are looking for then please contact the recruiting manager, We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic band 6 MSK physiotherapist for our staff MSK therapy service which provides face to face clinical assessment and physiotherapy to staff across the Trust. You will need to have demonstrated experience of working in the NHS in a band 6 MSK role, be a good communicator and have an interest in developing your specialist skills and knowledge in wellbeing and occupational health. As well as the clinical caseload, you will also have the opportunity to work on health and wellbeing projects across the Trust. The occupational health and wellbeing teams work closely together and are incredibly driven and passionate about supporting our NHS colleagues. We have a proven track record of providing a valued service to our staff and have recently been recognised in national industry awards for both the MSK staff service and Occupational Health department at UHD. Essential

  • BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • HPC Registration
  • Evidence of
  • Desirable
  • Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
  • Occupational Health qualifications
  • Involvement in ACPOHE
  • Experience Essential
  • 18-24 months as a junior covering core areas
  • Worked as a physiotherapists in the or in a system comparable to the
  • A minimum of 12 months working as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist in an outpatients department.
  • Desirable
  • Experience working in an Occupational Health environment
  • Experience of working in outpatients at Band 6 level
  • Involvement in audit and service development
  • Clinical experience in Neurology
  • Knowledge Essential
  • Sound understanding of a broad range of musculoskeletal / orthopaedic conditions
  • Basic understanding of NSF's Clinical Governance and their relevance to clinical situations.
  • How to critique research articles at a basic level

  • Ability to assess, manage & treat musculoskeletal conditions effectively at specialist level
