Full Job Description
We are looking for a Band 6 Musculoskeletal physiotherapist to support the MSKphysiotherapy team at Victoria Hospital, Deal. This post will also be required to work withinother South Kent Coast sites as the service demands. The South Kent Coast MSK Physiotherapysites are; Dover Health Centre, Dover and Royal Victoria Hospital, FolkestoneThis role will be based at Victoria Hospital, Deal with some working days being based atDover Health Centre, Dover or Royal Victoria Hospital, Folkestone. As a Senior Physiotherapistsome travel is expected to other South Kent Coast sites and, ad hoc throughout Kent fortraining and to help meet service demands., We provide outpatient MSK care to the population of the South Kent Coast. We are based inVictoria Hospital in Deal and also work from Royal Victoria Hospital, Folkestone and DoverHealth Centre. We also have multiple satellite clinics in GP surgeries in the surroundingCanterbury and Thanet area that the post holder could be expected to work in.They will be required to travel across trust sites in a timely manner. The post holder willprovide comprehensive musculoskeletal assessment and treatment of musculoskeletalpatients as an autonomous practitioner, some of which can be complex cases. The job willinvolve virtual working clinically to assess patients across the wider Kent Musculoskeletalservice.
They will be responsible for the management of their own caseload of patients andmaintaining appropriate records under the supervision of a clinical lead and clinical specialistphysiotherapists.They will be actively involved in the running of outpatient group sessions as provided by theservice e.g. lower limb classes, Back rehabilitation Classes, Back and Knee educationsessions, ESCAPE knee class and shoulder classes.They will be required to provide supervision and development of physiotherapy students,apprentices, assistants, band 5s and peers. They will be expected to be involved in someservice development projects.
