Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Solihull Community Respiratory Team within University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be based at Solihull Hospital and work across Solihull community daily, the post is a permanent, part time 0.7 WTE, 26.25 hours per week.

The role will support all elements of the service which mainly include FAB clinics and pulmonary rehabilitation.

The post is open to qualified Occupational Therapists with the relevant skills and a experience working within Respiratory, you will join a Multi-disciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Respiratory nurse specialists, Occupational therapists, support workers and admin staff. The team fosters a strong emphasis on collaborative working with the aim of streamlining patient pathways between the acute and community setting thereby providing a responsive and outcome focused service to patients, wherever they present.

Candidates need to be registered with the HCPC and have excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team across multiple agencies. Excellent organisational and time management skills are also essential. We are committed to continued professional and career development of all staff.

This role requires the post holder to be a car driver with use of a vehicle for business purposes.
