Band 6 Occupational Therapist - Inpatients

The successful candidate will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team within a defined area of the service to assess and help patients return home as quickly as possible, while ensuring their medical and therapy needs are being met. They will contribute to improving the patients journey by providing early goal-setting and intervention at the start of a hospital journey facilitating safe discharge. The successful candidate would benefit from experience in a generic capacity enabling them to complete core assessments but the ability to then utilise their specialist occupational therapy skills and problem solving theindividual within a fast paced environment. This Assess model improves the flow of patients from admission, through their stay in hospital and back to independent living when they return home.
