Full Job Description

AOT services uses a team approach, to support, engage service users with psychosis, multiple admissions, complex needs, poor engagement and challenging behaviours.
Caseloads are smaller to reflect the intensity of the work and provide opportunities for rehabilitation.
As an OT you will be delivering interventions to enable individuals to participate in recovery-based activities, engage in treatment and live in their own homes or supported accommodation. You will hold a small caseload.
You will work closely with the clinical lead OT to develop the OT within AOT, meeting regularly as an OT team.
As a Band 6 OT, there will be opportunities to develop leadership skills. Working within the MDT, to develop activities, engage individuals in meaningful occupations and facilitate psycho-social and psycho-educational.
To aid in the development of service user-led, occupationally focused recovery plans and empower their recovery journey.
The AO Team operates 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Shift patterns are day shift (9:00am - 5:00pm), late shift (12:00pm - 8:00pm) and weekends (9:00am - 5:00pm).
However, we can consider flexible working arrangements during these hours., + To provide to an efficiently administered and professionally competent Occupational Therapy service for people who use Assertive Outreach Team Services.
+ To manage a defined caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in a range of settings.
+ To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of OT services within a designated team, holding responsibility for defined projects.
+ To regularly supervise OT students on placement. As part of the selection process you may be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, however all cases of criminal record history are dealt with on a case by case basis.
Please note, if applicable for your role you will be required to cover the cost of your DBS certificate. This will be deducted from your salary over 3 months. You will also be required to sign up to the DBS Update Service before commencement with the Trust.
All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust's induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e-learning format. You will be required to complete training modules online (approx. 9-14 hours depending on post) by the end of your first week with us.
