Are you looking for a new opportunity? Are you a Level 1 Registered Adult Nurse with significant oncology setting experience? Are you looking for a career that is more autonomous?, We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Band 6 Nurse to join our rapidly expanding and dynamic Clinical Research Team on the NIHR/Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility. In this role you will have the opportunity to maintain and develop all of your existing clinical skills within a research environment where you will be delivering the administration of investigational medicinal products, taking part in translational research and developing the set-up of new trials. With a focus upon working with the oncology portfolio, which continues to expand and currently consist of cancer vaccines and other experimental treatment, As a Band 6 Nurse on our Research Facility you will have the opportunity to work in a nurse-led environment and be expected to manage and lead on your own caseload of research projects. With a focus on the oncology portfolio . You will have the opportunity to maintain and develop existing clinical skills, such as but not limited to, phlebotomy, intravenous therapy, cannulation and central access devices. You will also be given the opportunity to develop new exciting skills such as administration of cytotoxic agents, working within our state of the art endoscopy suite and laboratory skills such as centrifugation and sample processing. You will be working closely with Senior Clinicians and other Multi-disciplinary team members to implement and set up the delivery of trial protocols ensuring the highest quality of data collection, with a continued commitment to participant safety and welfare.

The NIHR/Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility is a joint collaboration between University Hospitals Birmingham, University of Birmingham and the Wellcome Trust.
