Full Job Description

We are looking to appoint a passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated Band 6 paediatric nurse, to join our friendly and supportive team.

If you have been working as a senior band 5 in ED and completed your mentorship and have undertaken or working towards the ED course and are ready to take the next step in your nursing career and develop leadership and management skills, this might be the perfect opportunity for you.

The post holder will act as a role model for the junior team members in the delivery of high-quality patient centred care. They will deputise for the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse and will support with the leadership and management of the department particularly focusing on clinical care and standards.

The post holder will work within the NMC Code, trust policies, guidance, and procedures to ensure safe working practice.

We offer a structured orientation and on-going support and guidance. We follow the RCN National Emergency Nursing Framework competencies.

As well as supporting our staff's professional development we offer a New Well-being space, outside areas including designated garden areas as well as fitness classes including a running group. Each of our departments also have wellbeing champions.
