Full Job Description

The successful postholder will primarily be based in the community setting in Singleton Hospital. The role will also involve gaining experience in the Orthopaedic Clinic at Singleton/ Neath Port Talbot and the acute ward at Morriston Hospital., To manage a defined caseload of Paediatric clients within this setting, using evidence based /client centered principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in hospital and the community, maintaining associated records.? To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to the specialist caseload.? To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.? To provide leadership for junior staff, through supervision and appraisal as delegated by supervisor.? To supervise Physiotherapy students on clinical placements? To participate in CPD and develop skills and knowledge through participation in inservice training scheme.? To work across the Health Board and travel between SBU Health Board sites as required to support service delivery? To undertake lone working if required.
