Full Job Description

To ensure a high standard of clinical practice in physiotherapy (notably in
respiratory) and the provision of specialist clinical support and advice for community rehabilitation and the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service.
To deliver high quality patient care, acting as a role model across the Community Health Newham (CHN) therapy services (notably for Physiotherapy), providing specialist clinical advice, education and leadership. To provide clinical skills on all therapeutic developments within the service. At all times ensuring an excellent standard and quality of service and to act as a source of specialist advice under guidance and knowledge for patients,carers and healthcare professionals, locally, regionally and nationally.
To help and support the team lead put in place pathways, guidelines and policies for ensuring patients within Community Health Newham receive good quality care, specifically for those accessing the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service.
To help support the Clinical Lead and the General Managers in the strategic direction of therapies and the East London Foundation Trust with respiratory patients across the localities and to act as a liaison amongst the Locality Managers ensuring consistent standards of Respiratory Physiotherapy further developing the community services within Community Health Newham.

The post holder will provide a specialist source of expertise in Respiratory Physiotherapy including pulmonary Rehabilitation as a static community physiotherapist in order to support patients accessing PR services and teams requiring the expertise as appropriate including supporting community teams as and when possible and also support and lead the pulmonary rehabilitation in the community.
The post holder will ensure the quality and effectiveness of physiotherapy delivery within the service on a day to day basis, developing the service under the management and with the strategic direction of the clinical lead and team leaders.
The post holder together with other senior Therapists and Nurses will support the Clinical Lead and in quality assurance and development. The post holder will support and deputise from the band 7's to help oversee the management of services if needed.
