Full Job Description

Following funding awarded to BSOL ICB from Stroke Quality Improvement for Rehabilitation (SQuIRe), we have an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver a new service focusing on rehabilitation and psychological support to stroke patients living in Solihull. The scope of this project is evolving, and you will be part of a multidisciplinary team which will shape the vision of this service.

You will join a brand-new team and have a key role in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating this new service alongside a project lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a blended health and social care team, consisting of an Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Speech and Language Therapist, Physiotherapist and Therapy Support Worker.

Main duties of the job

You should have excellent written and verbal communication and organisation skills and be motivated and committed to the successful set up of a new service.

You must be a dynamic and enthusiastic individual looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of stroke survivors with living in Solihull.

As well as providing specialist Physiotherapy assessments and interventions, you will have access to training and a psychological support package, providing a unique opportunity to upskill in this area, and to improve the rehabilitation potential of this patient group.

You will develop methods of measuring outcomes to evidence the benefit of your input, with the aim of achieving funding to provide this service on a long-term basis.
