Band 6 Registered Nurse for Pre-Assessment | Barts Health NHS Trust

Pre-assessment is pivotal in reaching the 18 week RTT target by theassessment of patients general health and fitness before surgery and carrying out various tests and investigations.

The applicant should have at least 2 years surgical experience at Band 5 and be looking to extend their knowledge and autonomy.

• The post holder will need to have excellent communication skills and be adaptable to a busy clinic environment, and managing their own caseload of patients.
• They must be keen to learn and develop new skills through the availability of a variety of training opportunities, including the physical assessment course.
• Staff are encouraged and given the opportunity to continue their professional development through attendance on relevant courses provided by both City and Southbank Universities.
• The post holder will be required to work within a challenging clinical environment and may need to undertake shift work.
