Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a new, innovative and dynamic team within our expanding Virtual Ward service at UHB. Working within the Solihull Community Respiratory Team the post holder will support Solihull Respiratory Virtual Ward service to assess and monitor patients receiving hospital at home service care whilst they are exacerbating from their lung condition.

We are looking for a nurse with respiratory experience. You will be working closely within a multidisciplinary team of staff including Virtual Ward Clinicians, Respiratory Nurse Specialists, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and HCA's, all of whom are committed to maintaining independence, promoting self-care and assisting patients in their usual place of residence. In partnership with members of the MDT the postholder will develop individual competence and knowledge which will support the provision of seamless specialist nursing, ensuring the highest standard of clinical care for patients with COPD, Bronchiectasis and pneumonia.

This is a 12 month part time contract working Monday -- Friday. This is a community post therefore the applicant will required to be a car user with business insurance.
