Full-time 37.5 hours

This is an exciting post to join the Respiratory inpatient team at Glenfield Hospital to provide specialist respiratory treatment to our patients.
The team consists of one Band 7 Physiotherapist, 3 Band 6 , 1 Band 5 and 2 Band 3 Physiotherapists. You will also work closely with the physiotherapy team on the Respiratory Support Unit providing cross cover where needed. Close MDT working is also expected.
The patient cohort is acute respiratory and acute on chronic respiratory conditions alongside other general medical conditions. You will have the opportunity to utilise and develop your clinical and leadership skills supporting colleagues and students
There is scope to look at service evaluation and clinical audit with the support of the Therapy Research and Service Evaluation group., You will be an integral part of the therapy and wider MDT, providing individualised assessments and treatments plans to patients. You will support other colleagues, rotational staff and students to gain respiratory skills and develop their leadership skills.
The Physiotherapy Department provides a seven day rostered service and the successful candidate will work on the weekend, bank holiday and the emergency on-call respiratory service rosters.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check
Please note if you are successful in obtaining this position and the post involves regulated activity you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service check.
The Trust will pay for the check initially and the money will then be deducted from your salary over a three month period commencing on your first month's payment.
The current price of a check is £38 for an enhanced and £18 for a standard check.
