Band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist

Prepare, store and use reagents and consumables in a manner suitable for patient investigations.

Perform manual laboratory procedures such as precision pipetting, reagent preparation and complex analytical procedures.

Undertake technical validation of complex results from laboratory investigations to ensure accuracy and precision as specified by laboratory protocols.

To be able to calibrate, maintain, operate and troubleshoot expensive and complex hardware and software.
