Full Job Description

The South Glos Recovery Team North Stream are looking for a Specialist Recovery Practitioner to join our supportive and friendly team. The team is based in Thornbury with a geographical area covering South Glos area, including Yate, Patchway and other suburban areas. This is a wide geographical area with limited access to public transport.

There is the opportunity to develop your skills with new training in Structured Clinical Management and Standard Care and Discharge packages being rolled out across the South Glos Recovery teams with a very good supervision program in place to support staff. We are increasing our therapeutic offer to service users and welcome applicants who are keen to develop their skills in this area.

The role entails Key Workers a caseload of service users under secondary mental health services and the coordination and deliver of evidenced based interventions. This includes commissioning packages under the care act.

We would welcome applications from qualified clinicians with experience of working with people with acute and enduring mental health needs. If you are looking to further your community experience, we would love to hear from you.

We will consider recently qualified staff who have completed their preceptorship.

This post is open to newly qualified social workers. In line with AWP trust policy all newly qualified social workers (NQSW) will be recruited initially at Band 5 level, regardless of advertised role banding. All NQSW's are expected to successfully complete their ASYE within 2 years of employment, unless there are exceptional circumstances in which case it may be extended for a further 2 years.
