Full Job Description
As a fully registered CAMHS Specialist in this team you conduct assessment on the psychological / emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people. You will lead and participate in multi-agency meetings and and will engage in direct therapeutic work with children and families s and will self-manage a caseload. You will design and deliver presentations and training events for other professionals and carers / parents as required., The PMHS role is embedded within the LA team and will provide consultation to Families Plus (Early Help) staff about secondary aged young people with emotional and mental health needs, providing advice and support to upskill professionals to identify mental health needs and appropriately intervene. Some of these young people/families will require assessment and interventions from the post holder and may require an assertive outreach approach to aid engagement. The post will also provide training to Families Plus staff and other professionals working with children and young people.
You will be welcomed into an established and experienced Primary Mental Health Specialist team within South Gloucestershire and Bristol. This role will be a job share with an experienced CAMHS clinician who has been in post for several years. You will also access support, training and regular supervision from the South Gloucestershire locality CAMHS team.
