Full Job Description
We have a new opportunity for a Band 7 District Nurse to join our North Hardwick Nursing team in Derbyshire. You will benefit from working alongside our existing Senior Community Nurse as well as the wider Integrated Community Team, to deliver high quality nursing care across North Hardwick offering a varied and vibrant demographic., The main duties of this job are 50% Leadership/teaching and 50% Clinical. This is a developing post within our locality. The initial role will be to provide clinical and management support to the current Senior Nurses in our North Hardwick Teams with the potential for line management of Senior Nurses and overall management of a specific team.
In addition, they will lead in developing nursing services within North Hardwick and implementing change alongside their fellow District Nurses, Clinical leads and the wider leadership team.
This is an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced District Nurse with a passion for Community nursing and a wealth of Community experience. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills and have a desire to develop their leadership skills in a supportive environment.
Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes, and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.
During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.
