Full Job Description

We are looking for a full-time (37.5 hours/week) Band 7 Physiotherapist to join our Elderly care therapy team.
The successful candidate will be joining our well established, integrated team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists who provide comprehensive and specialist therapy assessments to a varied cohort of patients across our care of elderly wards including our delirium recovery pathway., The post holder will be joining an established senior tier and will be responsible for the training and supervision of the junior team members, as well as key performance indicators and service developments.
The successful candidate will be expected to work on the therapy seven day working rota, of a 1:6 frequency, with compensatory rest days in the following week, as well as being part of the on call service.
We can offer training opportunities to develop your specialist skills in line with your PDR. We have senior leadership training opportunities on a regular basis as well courses funded externally.

The post holder should have extensive experience in the care of elderly population and show a sound knowledge of the assessment and treatment in this cohort.
In addition to providing clinical care to patients, it will be supporting more junior staff and sharing their clinical expertise.
Should be able to demonstrate strong leadership and organisational skills and will be involved in HR tasks related to the team as part of their non-clinical duties.
