  • Respiratory Physiology diagnostics.
  • Sleep diagnostics.
  • Location: Based at the Respiratory Centres at Watford General Hospital and Hemel Hempstead Hospital. With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.   • Serve as Deputy Department Lead.
  • Conduct comprehensive respiratory function testing.
  • Run independent Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET) clinics and manage reporting.
  • Lead training and development initiatives within Respiratory Physiology, including:
  • Training junior physiology staff.
  • Providing ARTP spirometry education to WHTH nurses.
  • Facilitating resident doctor training in Respiratory Physiology.
  • This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, following a departmental rota with core hours of 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

    The ideal candidate will hold a BSc degree in Clinical Physiology, along with relevant professional qualifications (ARTP Part 1 & Part 2). Extensive experience in a pulmonary function laboratory is required, and candidates should be registered with the AHCS or eligible for registration. Experience in independent sleep diagnostics and cardiopulmonary exercise testing reporting is essential.
