Full Job Description

Responsible for providing clinical leadership to a highly specialist in-patient therapy service at the NRC The post holder will be expected to:

  • be responsible for the provision of a highly specialist, evidence-based, neurorehabilitation physiotherapy service
  • participate in daily operational activities and management, planning and implementation and direction of in-patient rehab service delivery in conjunction with the clinical leads
  • be involved in the strategic planning and policy development for the in-patient service and deputise for the Clinical Specialist where necessary.
  • require highly advanced time management and priority skills in order to manage varied job tasks during the working day and to balance clinical and operational duties, including service development
  • ensure clinical effectiveness of therapy intervention incorporating evidence-based practice and professional standards.
  • You will play a key part in supporting the service to sustain its high-achieving inpatient neurorehabilitation service, working closely with other therapy services in acute services in the Royal Free Hospital group and North Central London ( NCL ) and other stakeholders. The team works closely with links with co-located community neurorehabilitation services at the NRC to support patient transition home as well as for peer support.

    We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and flexible in their approach, and who is able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills and leadership in the assessment and management of neurological patients. You will be joining a friendly, well-established team, working alongside experienced colleagues and supported by a Band 8a IP therapy and physiotherapy lead You must be able to demonstrate strong evidence-based clinical knowledge and skills within the specialty of neurorehabilitation , including Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury and complex stroke .
