Full Job Description

St Peters Hospice are looking for experienced Band 7 Senior Psychological Therapists to join their Psychological Therapies Team (PTT). The Psychological Therapy team works with adults and children, individually and in groups. We work face to face with our patients and clients, in our therapy rooms, in their homes or on the inpatient unit as well as remotely. The team are supported by a dedicated group of volunteers so there is the opportunity for formal and informal supervision. We are looking for therapists with energy, enthusiasm, and experience of working in a dynamic team. You will be an excellent and empathetic communicator who is a supportive team member. Someone who can work with others to develop services, work dynamically in the ever-changing mental health landscape and support, and educate the organisation with psychologically informed practice. You will be qualified to work with adults and children. The work the team does can be challenging; supporting those affected by the
psychological effects of an incurable illness and bereavement. These individuals might be living with existing mental health challenges as well as complex social circumstances. We are looking for someone who feels they will be able to flourish and contribute to this challenging context., To work with work with a caseload of complex referrals across the hospice providing psychological therapy to individuals and groups, face to face and remotely. To work with adults, children and young people at the Brentry site, outpatient services and in the community. The Therapist will work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the holistic needs of patients, clients (including children and young people) are identified and met through the delivery of evidence based psychological interventions. As part of the Psychological Therapies Team (PTT), the Therapist will provide clinical supervision on a formal and informal basis to PTT volunteers and students and other clinical staff as required. To contribute to the learning and development of clinical staff and volunteers to support a psychologically informed approach to working with people effected by a life limiting illness.
