Full Job Description

This post is for a band 7 Ward Sister in the paediatric surgical directorate for Savannah Surgery and Orthopaedics.

The successful candidate willhave knowledge regarding governance and its importance in promoting and maintaining a safe and quality driven environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Joining a forward thinking, patient centred team you will play a lead role in making a positive difference to our patients journey through strong leadership and direction to the team, monitoring and maintaining standards of care and professional practice to support day to day efficient running of the unit.

You'll need to be able to take the lead and act on your own initiative, to assess and plan how to meet goals and objectives for yourself, staff and other service users. You will have excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with families and within the multidisciplinary team, both verbally and in writing.

You will act as a role model and provide development, clinical supervision and advice for other staff and students to support them in reaching their full potential

We are seeking to recruit an experienced, dynamic and innovative paediatric nurse who will bring excellent clinical skills and knowledge, and a desire to maintain a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
