Band 7 Team Manager - North Somerset CAMHS

Weston-Super-Mare and Clevedon are thriving seaside towns within easy a commuting distance to Bristol and Taunton. The M5 motorway within easy access. Weston-Super-Mare is a growing multi-cultural area with numerous amenities and has access to the beautiful coastline and also the Mendip Hills. North Somerset Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) currently offers a range of innovative and informed approaches, supports personal development and growth and a range of CPD opportunities with a comprehensive in-house training programme.
We offer flexible working patterns and have the benefit of working across 2 sites in Weston-Super-Mare and Clevedon. The team also provides Eating Disorder and Learning Disability Services and so have the potential to offer development opportunities.
The successful candidate will be part of a stimulating and supportive multidisciplinary service, working alongside the clinical service lead, as part of the leadership team. This post is substantive but a secondment would be considered.
This post will also enable the post holder to use, and develop their clinical skills, as a proportion of time is allocated for direct clinical work.
We welcome calls/visits from prospective candidate to discuss this opportunity, and what the team can offer, in more detail., Working in partnership with the locality Clinical service lead, the post holder will ensure excellent clinical standards are maintained within the team, and ensure the best use of available resources to deliver positive outcomes for individual young people and their families.
The post-holder, alongside the clinical lead, will manage, direct and lead a recovery orientated, multi-disciplinary integrated CAMHS & Specialist LD service in a community setting
The post also has an element of direct clinical work., In partnership with the Clinical Service Lead to be responsible for leading and managing a modern, efficient mental health community service for a defined population in accordance with commissioned services.
With support from the clinical lead, Senior Practitioners and the medical consultant, the post holder will help manage the delivery of high quality effective evidence-based interventions which lead to positive outcomes for service users and carers.
To lead by example, motivating and empowering others and promoting positive attitudes, mutual understanding and collaboration between all services involved in the care process.
To line manage staff within the multi-disciplinary team ensuring effective processes where this is delegated.
To oversee the performance of all designated care clinicians within the team in line with the requirements of care co-ordination so as to ensure that consistent clinical and quality standards are maintained.
