Full Job Description

This senior role will have a mix of clinical and operational responsibilities supporting the Head of Arts Psychotherapies in delivering the requirements and expectations of the Community Transformation of Mental Health Services. The post will require you to line manage Band 7 and 6 arts psychotherapists and support trainees and qualified arts psychotherapists through clinical supervision., Developing and informing referral pathways, facilitating a range of art psychotherapy interventions to individuals and groups, providing consultation to other clinical staff and working as part of the MDT within the CMHT setting. You will receive clinical supervision from an experienced art psychotherapist, line management support from within the community art psychotherapy team, access to training and development opportunities and have the chance to develop your career within a dynamic team in a busy setting. Please note, if applicable for your role you will be required to cover the cost of your DBS certificate. This will be deducted from your salary over 3 months. You will also be required to sign up to the DBS Update Service before commencement with the Trust.
All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust's induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e-learning format. You will be required to complete training modules online (approx. 9-14 hours depending on post) by the end of your first week with us.

If applicable to your role, the Trust will require you to sign up for the DBS Update Service. The subscription will cost you £13 a year but the Trust will reimburse this. You will be contractually obliged to maintain your subscription.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated full time Senior Art Psychotherapist to join us to complete a 12 months secondment/ fixed term contract, to cover maternity leave. The successful applicant will join a dynamic team providing art psychotherapy in community mental health services., The Community Art Psychotherapy team works within the five community Hubs across BSMHFT, providing care across for service users across the adult age range.
