Full Job Description

We would welcome applications from suitably qualified and experienced practitioners from mental health and social care backgrounds including Clinical and Forensic Psychologists to support the continued delivery of the Safer Options Trauma Informed Consultation Service (SOTICS) as it moves into its' final year of a 3 year pilot project, concluding 31.10.25.
The service is based within the multi-disciplinary/multi-agency Specialist CAMHS Be Safe Service.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering the Health and Justice funded pilot project supporting colleagues in Children's Social Care and independent sector who work with children and young people who are at risk of harm to themselves and others as a result of exploitation and serious violence through the provision of multi-agency case formulation and training informed by the Enhanced Care Management approach and Trauma Recovery Model. In undertaking this work the post holder will be part of the multi-agency Safer Options partnership, a whole-system response to reducing serious violence and exploitation in Bristol which is led by a multi-disciplinary hub. You will be involved in developing the care pathway for the project and contributing to the project evaluation., To provide a highly specialist trauma informed case formulation and consultation service to front line practitioners working with children and young people aged up to 18 who are at risk of exploitation and maybe at risk of entering the criminal justice system in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. The consultation approach is informed by the Trauma Recovery Model and Enhanced Care management
· To provide highly specialist consultancy and training to multi-agency professionals including those in Children's Social Care, Health, Education, and the Criminal Justice System and those within independent agencies as required.
· The post holder is a lead clinician within the Specialist CAMHS Be Safe Service with a primary role within the SOTICS and is expected to be a significant clinical resource across the Trust.
· The post-holder is responsible, as part of the Be Safe and SOTICS teams for interpreting national and local policies in relation to children and young people who have engaged in problematic/harmful sexual behaviour, their parents/carers and the system supporting them., · To provide complex case formulations and clinical consultancy informed by the Trauma recovery Model for the multi-agency network for young people referred to the service.
· To co-ordinate the multi-disciplinary formulation meeting for practitioners working with children and young people referred to the service.
· To provide case formulation reports within the agreed time scales for individual cases.

· To conduct research/service evaluation as required.
· To establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues within the team, Be Safe, across the Trust and those professions working with young people referred to the service.

Be Safe is a highly regarded multi-disciplinary team based within the AWP specialist CAMHS that delivers services in Bristol for young people up to 18 and in South Gloucestershire for children aged 7 to 11 who have engaged in problematic/harmful sexual behaviour, and on a spot purchase basis from neighbouring authorities. The team has a strong commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and leads on CAMHS wide initiatives in this regard. Access to training and support to develop knowledge and skills for working with this group of children and young people is provided.
