Full Job Description

The postholder will provide visible clinical and professional leadership for identified pathways and the AHP professions within the Neurodevelopmental Pathway and Child Development Centre Services:
+ ASD pathway
+ ADHD pathway
+ CDC pathways paused and to be confirmed
They will develop and sustain a culture of clinical improvement in their specified areas, leading by example, demonstrating compassionate care and empowering staff to deliver evidence based services of a high quality.
They will set and monitor standards for clinical practice, including access to and exit from the clinical pathways, for child and family care planning, and ensure teams have the right skills and support to deliver a high quality service.
They will develop positive and effective relationships and partnership working with early years and school settings and providers across all agencies/sectors, promoting inclusive practice to the benefit of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
They will be highly visible and accessible and a figure to whom staff, patients and their families can turn for assistance, advice and support.
They will provide clinical expertise in the field of Neurodiversity and be experienced in assessment and differential diagnosis, including experience in the administration of relevant standardised assessments.

We are delighted to offer a committed and experienced AHP the opportunity to apply for the Neurodevelopmental Pathway Clinical Specialist post in our friendly and forward-thinking children's community Neurodevelopmental Team. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic AHP with excellent assessment skills and holistic client-centred practice, and an interest in leading teams. The role will involve clinical leadership, particularly of the Autism assessment pathway, and also include clinical delivery at an expert level in the field of autism. The Clinical Specialist post has a focus on clinical practice and assurance of consistency in scoring assessment findings, so the post-holder will need to be confident in the delivery of ADOS assessments and able to support other staff with complex cases.
