Full Job Description
The posts will serve the Young Peoples Team, which is a specialist mental health team, offering mental health assessment and intervention to children, young people and their families who are Looked After, Adopted, known to Youth Justice Services or who are homeless.
The post holder will be passionate about addressing health inequalities and have an ability to be creative about how services are offered to improve access to this vulnerable group.
The post holder must have a good understanding about the impact of adverse childhood experiences and early trauma on children and young people and an awareness of the implications of this in practice.
This post involves a substantial amount of consultation and training to the network.
The post holder must be a confident and competent trainer. Supervision of a clinical psychology trainee and contribution to service development will also be required for candidates at 8a level.
We are keen to support people in their continued professional development. The post holder will be joining a large supportive service with good levels of supervision and a personal development programme to help achieve further relevant training targets.

We are advertising for a Clinical Psychologist to join our large team of Psychologists working in a strong multi-disciplinary setting delivering services for young people and their families / carers in Leicestershire. We are a large multi-disciplinary service of over 180 professional staff.
Our CAMHS service is comprehensive and in addition to the City and County Outpatient teams has specialist teams for inpatient adolescent services, learning disabilities, primary mental health services, children and young people with eating disorders, Crisis services, looked after and adopted children, young offenders and homeless children and paediatric psychology., We may close the advert early, if we receive a sufficient number of applicants, so please apply as soon as possible.
