Main duties of the job

To provide highly specialist clinical pharmacist input to the Cardiology specialty.

To ensure correct and safe prescribing, demonstrate expert clinical knowledge and provide a clinical pharmacy service of the highest standard.

To provide advice and information on issues surrounding adherence to medications prescribed in the treatment of patients.

To develop protocols and guidelines to support the medicines optimisation process where appropriate

You need to be motivated with good communication skills and a desire to use your knowledge, skills and experience to improve patient care and influence healthcare professionals in the best use of medicines.

You will be encouraged to undertake your NMP or if already achieved in another area develop your knowledge into this field.
